Santa Fe Walking Tour:
Enjoy a tour through the oldest capital city in the United States—a memorable stroll through hundreds of years of history, beauty, culture and conflict. Our entertaining guides share the city’s cultural impact, explain major historic sights and provide pointers to restaurants and museums to enjoy during your stay.
Bandelier and Tent Rocks Adventures:
We customize guided hikes to premier destinations such as Bandelier National Monument and Tent Rocks National Monument. Bandelier, in the volcanic Jemez Mountains, is known for its several thousand ancestral Pueblo Indian dwellings. Knowledgeable guides lead guests on an energetic exploration of the monument, including close-up examination of the enigmatic cliff dwellings in Frijoles Canyon, with anthropological interpretation, and a hike on the Falls Trail. Tent Rocks is a fascinating wonderland of wind- and water-carved sandstone southwest of Santa Fe. Visitors hike up a narrow slot canyon, with stops to learn about geology. The easy, three-mile round-trip hike culminates in panoramic views from atop a mesa.
Guided Hiking:
Our guided hikes explore the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Your hike is based on your desire and fitness—pick the challenge that suits you. The easiest outing is a gentle two-mile walk on the Dale Ball Trails, with stops to learn about flora and geology—plus views from high above the city. A more strenuous hike is the 5.5-mile ascent of Atalaya Mountain, with vigorous uphill stretches and panoramic views. Our guides’ wisdom and encouragement will keep you smiling.
Horseback Riding:
Climb aboard a friendly equine to experience the natural world at a pace conducive to absorbing northern New Mexico’s spectacular scenery. Trail riding requires no previous experience, though skilled riders will enjoy our outings every bit as much as novices. Tererro Riding Stables northeast of Santa Fe shows every guest a good time, with high-alpine rides in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains that make you feel like you’re starring in your very own Western.
